Weather causes fixture pile-up

After heavy rain put paid to Prime's visit to East Peckham Juniors Reserves it meant that The Numbers had played only 1 game since the 20th November and left them with a massive fixture backlog.

With 15 league fixtures to cram in, plus potentially 2 cup games, it seems that double-headers are a certainty once the clocks go forward in March.

These fixtures will be 2 games of 30 minutes each way played back-to-back on the same afternoon against the same opposition - with each game counting for the normal 3 points for a win.

Prime's likely March opponents are promotion rivals Tonbridge Invicta III and Woodlands Reserves, plus surprise strugglers FC Revolution.

Manager Goldsmith will be hoping to use the greater strength in depth in the squad for these double-headers - with league rules allowing teams to name a completely different starting XI for each game in a double-header.

In April, with lighter evenings, Tuesday night matches are also a possibility. These will kick off at around 6:15pm and are likely to be 70 minutes or so in duration. Again these games will count for the full 3 points.

The remaining fixtures for January have been revealed and Saturday January 22nd will be a red-letter day for Prime as they host table-topping AFC Valour Reserves, seeking to avenge their early-season reverse at Horsmonden.
