Goldsmith aims for one final promotion push
In early June 2013, player/manager Ashley Goldsmith announced that the 2013/14 season would be his last in charge of the club after what will be 8 years at the helm.
There has been plenty of transfer activity over the summer - both in and out of the Cadogan.
Goalkeeper Dan Balcombe has joined Division 2 title-holders Woodlands Reserves, whilst Ross Taylor, Tom Gibson and Seb Fleming have left the club. Carl Barker is unlikely to play a very prominent role with the upcoming birth of his 2nd child.
But it's not all been bad news with Goldsmith convincing a trio of ex-players to re-join the club in an attempt to finally win some silverware. Popular 'keeper Lewis Kerton returns from Premier Division side Pembury to fill the void left by Balcombe's departure. He brings with him cousin Phil Chapman who lit up his first spell with The Numbers with a string of fine goals from distance with his wand of a left foot.
After two years in temporary retirement, part-time fisherman Rich Excell completes the trio, aiming to wind back the clock to his prolific early Prime career.
Goldsmith has not closed the door on additional signings with one or 2 additional deals possible before pre-season starts in earnest in mid-August.
