Frant hit back to deny The Numbers
Frant 5-5 Ashton Prime
Following their third win on the bounce, Prime headed to Frant confident of picking up the points - but they were without Mellors and Excell.
Skovborg-Hansen replaced Excell up-front and Gilbert was rewarded for his fine substitute appearance last week with a central-midfield role. Ellis, Smith-Foreman and Barnham had to be content warming the bench.
Prime kicked off with the slope and wind at their backs and were ahead within 2 minutes. Goulding picked up the ball on the half way line in the left-back slot. His overhit through-ball bounced awkwardly in front of the Frant keeper and he could only tip the ball onto the underside of the crossbar and then in.
Frant were trying to get the ball down and pass it, but Prime were biting into the challenges and with the wind at their backs, getting the ball forward quickly to make the most of their pace up front.
Their direct style paid dividends after 15 minutes when Goldsmith's long throw found Skovborg-Hansen who bravely flicked on for the prolific Carl Barker to nod home and double Prime's lead.
But the home side were still looking dangerous and they had already hit the bar before they pulled a goal back on 25 minutes with the shot taking an unlucky deflection off of Mazurkiewicz and beating Latter.
Prime had a golden opportunity to restore their two-goal lead when Skovborg-Hansen rounded the keeper but lost his balance at the vital moment with the goal at his mercy.
But his blushes were spared when Barker found space again in the Frant penalty area to head home his second goal.
Yet again though, Frant bounced back with their left-midfielder rifling an unstoppable volley in from the edge of the box.
In a topsy-turvy first half, Prime re-took their two-goal lead as Goldsmith's wickedly inswinging corner was nodded home at the far post by Gilbert - who finally netted his first goal for Prime on his 39th appearance.
Goulding was struggling with a thigh injury and was withdrawn at the break with Ellis slotting in at left-back.
Prime vitally added a fifth goal at the start of the second half as Skovborg-Hansen's slick turn and burst of speed was too much for the Frant defence and he slammed his shot beyond the helpless keeper.
Goldsmith had been in the wars throughout the game - firstly taking a painful blow to the crown jewels and then suffering a suspected broken toe as a boot landed on his foot. Smith-Foreman took over in the centre of the park.
Frant scrambled a goal back soon after and then proceeded to throw the kitchen sink at Prime.
Their centre-back Ennis pulled it back to 5-4 as Prime failed to clear a corner, and the same player was on hand again 10 minutes later as Frant pulled level at 5 all.
There was still 15 minutes to go and Barnham came on to stop the rot, with Ellis moving in to central midfield to sure things up.
Prime dug in hard with Jamie Barker excelling against wave after wave of Frant attacks, and Latter making some unbelievable saves to keep Prime in it.
The final whistle came and Prime were relieved that they had kept their unbeaten run going.
